İran Sineması, kendi ekonomik programında olduğu gibi dış pazarda da sinemayı bir yatırım olarak görmüştür. Bugün iyi bir pazar olan İran Sineması dünya da adından çok sık söz ettirmektedir. 1979 İran İslam Cumhuriyeti’nin kurulduğu yıllardan sonra İran Sineması kendi teknik ve ekonomik koşullarıyla ithal filmlerden çok yeni bir sinemaya yönelmiştir. İlk başta çok kısıtlama ve sansürle karşılaşan sinema, daha sonra kendi varlığından söz ettirebilmiştir. Devrim yıllarında İran sinemasını sinemacılar, iki açıdan yorumlamıştır. Birincisi devrim ve kısıtlamanın yeni İran sinemasının oluşturduğunu, ikincisi ise devrimin İran sinemasını yok ettiğini savunanlardır. Devrimden sonra yönetmenlerin bir kısmının yurt dışına kaçması sonucu, azalan kadroları ve sinema salonları ile sinema yeni bir yapılanmadan geçirilmiş ve giderek yapım sayısı artmıştır. 1990’lı yıllardan günümüze İran sinemasında yeniden bir canlanma olmuş ve birçok uluslararası film festivallerinde ödüller alıp, dünya sinema çevrelerinin dikkatini çekmeye devam etmiş ve dünyada endüstri anlamında sesini duyurabilmiştir.
Iran’s cinema has seen the cinema as an investment in the foreign market as well as in its economic program. The Iranian cinema, which is a good market today, is often referring to its name in the world. After the years of the establishment of the Islamic Republic of Iran in 1979, the Iran Cinema has turned to a very new cinema from imported films with its own technical and economic conditions. The film, which at first faced a lot of restrictions and censorship, later could talk about its own existence. In the years of the revolution, the Iranian cinema was interpreted by the filmmakers in two ways. The first is that revolution and restriction formed the new Iranian cinema, and the second is that the revolution destroyed the Iranian cinema. As a result of the escape of some of the directors abroad after the revolution, the decreased staff and the cinema and the cinema were passed out of a new structure and the number of productions increased. From the 1990s to today, it has been a resuscitation in Iran’s cinema and has received awards at many international film festivals, continued to attract the attention of the world’s cinema surroundings, and has been able to announce its voice in the world’s industrial sense.
