Her bilim dalında ve sanat dalında olduğu gibi müziğin de bir takım işgörüleri vardır. Bu işgörüler bireysel, toplumsal, kültürel, ekonomik ve eğitimsel olmak üzere beş kümede toplanmıştır. Bu makalede müziğin toplumsal işlevi niteliksel açıdan ele alınmaktadır. “Davranışsal” ve “içeriksel” olmak üzere iki farklı boyutta uygulanmakta olan müzik eğitimden hangisinin müziğin toplum üzerindeki işgörüsünde daha etkili olacağı bu çalışmada temel tartışma konusu olarak ele alınmıştır.
As every branch of science and every branch of art has, music has also some kind of functions. These functions are grouped under five headlines, individual, social, cultural, economical and educational. In this article the social function of music form the qualitative point of view has been examined. The main point of the argument is that which of the music training kinds that are being practised through two different dimensions “behavioral” and “contextual” would be more effective as a social function in society.
