So many results that aren't mine?
References in many bibliographies are sometimes referred to as "Surname, I", so the citations of academics whose Surname and initials are the same may occasionally interfere. This problem is often the case with citation indexes all over the world.

Abstract:

Author:
Abstract:

The Ottoman education system was built on medresses. In the administration of the state, duties were assigned to qadis (Muslim judges) and muftis and all civil duties were carried out by those who were raised in medresses. When religious education was given to children in Ottoman elementary schools (sıbyen mektepleri), music, sports, literature, etc., were thought by religious scholars in big and small-scale Islamic monasteries and Islamic covenants. When the Ottoman Empire started to reform education as it did in many areas, in addition to schools providing medrese-style education, the Western education style were opened such as the sultan schools, preparation schools (idadi) and high schools (rüştiye). Various regulations were made to overcome the gap in the education system and to incorporate secular lessons into the curriculum of medreses. Regulations were prepared in consideration of the need for religious education of the society. In the study, the efforts of the Ottoman Empire to modernize the religious education during and after the Tanzimat Reform Period were evaluated. During the research, archival documents were examined, newspapers and journals were scanned and copyright works were examined in the framework of the research.
