Documentation of the information for professional associations of pharmacy students and improvement of the knowledge about these associations in Turkey will contribute to the unification of better qualified trade bodies in the future. In Turkey, the pharmacy student unions can be classified into two groups: the first group consists of campus pharmacy student associations/communities/clubs, whereas the second group consisting the youth/student commissions based on both the Turkish Pharmacists' Association and Chamber of Pharmacists. The first pharmacy student association/community/club is the Ankara University Pharmaceutical Students’ Group (AUPSG) founded in 1997. Since then 24 student unions/communities/clubs were founded. The first youth/student commission is the Istanbul Chamber of Pharmacists' Youth Commission which was established in 1995 based on both the Turkish Pharmacists' Association and Chambers of Pharmacists. Since that date, 6 youth/student commission associations have been working. This study will provide guidance for unifying all academic student associations as a single body that will perform better in mutual projects with a larger number of student involvement.
