The aim of this study is to evaluate the validity and reliability of the scale which will be used in the sample of the study which consists of 422 primary school students from four different schools of Bursa province. For statistical analysis of the data SPSS 13.0 package program was used. The construct validity of the adopted scale was actualized by using exploratory factor analysis. The results of the exploratory factor analysis showed that there are three subscales as health education, routine screening and environmental conditions, health protection. Among the factors which were decided as important the first one explained the 15.54%, the second explained 11.94% and the third explained 11.53% of the total variaence respectively. For determination of reliability of the scale Cronbach alpha reliability coefficient was used. Cronbach alpha reliability coefficients for each subscale are as follows: health education 0.81, routine screening and environmental conditions 0.70, health protection 0. As a result it was found out that the 24 items of health promoting school scale has reliability and validity.
