Abstract:

This article aims to innestigate the disagreements and contradictions between the Ottoman and Germany empires in relation to Caucasus, especially Azerbaijan in the last stage of The First World War and as a result of the Ottoman–Germany Protocol signed in Berlin on September 23, 1918.. The struggle of the Azerbaijan Republic with a military support from the Ottoman empire in the summer of 1918 to liberate the ex-capital xcapitl Baku from the bolshevik-dashnak alliance expresses international content related to the role of Baku oil in the world war The military operations of the Caucasus Islamic Army on Baku were heavily protested by Russia and Germany. Although Germany was an ally with the Ottoman state, and they signed a separatist contract with Russia on August 27, 1918, in the end, they signed a protocol with the Ottoman state and they had to recognize the power of the Ottoman state in Azerbaijan.
