Abstract:

This study was conducted in the Internal Anadolu Region in order to contribute to the discovery of the plant diversity of Turkey by determining the flora of the Baran Mountain located within the borders of Kırşehir or Kaman district. The research area is within the B5 square according to P. H. Davis's Turkish Flora grid system. It is located in the Iranian-Turan Flora region. From 2019 to 2021, 1550 plant samples were collected as a result of landwork. The diagnosis results in the identification of 420 plant taxons of 68 families and 235 species. Of the diagnosed plants, 53 taxons have a new record for the B5 square and 37 taxons are endemic; the endemic rate is 8.8%. Plants in the area are distributed according to the phytocographic regions: European-Siberian elements: 4.5%, Iran-Turan elements: 20.64% Mediterranean elements: 5.63%, and 57.38% are widely spread or phytocographic areas unknown. With 42 species and six taxons of 28 species in the field of research, the Asteraceae family has been the family with both the most species and the most taxons. The highest number of taxis is 10 taxis with Medicago L. is SP. The distribution of taxons according to the life forms of Raunkiaer (1934) is as follows: 83 (%19.66) Fanerofit, 52 (%12.32) Kamefit, 168 (%40) Hemicryptofit, 16 Geofit, 30 (%7.1) Cryptofit and 87 (%20.61) taxon Terofit.
