Introduction and Objective: Changing a lifestyle with exercise and a healthy diet, supplementation of some specific nutrients and the exclusion of inflammatory foods demonstrate benefits for the quality of life of women with endometriosis. The study aimed to evaluate the influence of diet in women with endometriosis, as well as the effect of food and physical exercise to reduce symptoms. Materials and methods: Systematic review with articles found in the last 10 years, in the Scielo, Pubmed and Google academic website databases, with the descriptors: Endometriosis; Diet; and Food Consumption. The Participants, Intervention, Comparisons, Outcomes strategy was used to search for articles and as a research question, a structuring model of the question to be answered with the research and search for evidence. Results: 30 articles were used to compose this review. Discussion: The change in lifestyle with physical exercise and healthy eating, supplementation of some specific nutrients such as fruits, vegetables, dairy products, omega-3, and the exclusion of inflammatory foods demonstrate benefits for the quality of life of women with endometriosis. Conclusion: Food plays an important role both in the development of the disease and in the improvement and worsening of symptoms. But different studies are needed to verify which nutrients and foods have protective effects and act in improving endometriosis symptoms.
