Bu araştırmada, özel eğitim okulunda çalışan özel eğitim öğretmenlerinin yardımcı teknoloji kullanımına yönelik deneyimlerinin ve görüşlerinin belirlenmesi amaçlanmıştır. Fenomenolojik desenle yürütülen araştırmaya özel eğitim meslek okulunda çalışan biri erkek, yedisi kadın olmak üzere toplam sekiz öğretmen katılmıştır. Veriler, yarı-yapılandırılmış görüşme tekniği ile toplanmıştır Yapılan görüşmelerden elde edilen veriler içerik analizi tekniği ile NVivo 10 programı kullanılarak çözümlenmiştir. Bulgular, özel eğitim okulunda çalışan öğretmenlerin kullandıkları yardımcı teknolojiler ve kullanım alanları, yardımcı teknolojileri temin etme durumları, yardımcı teknoloji kullanımının öğrenciye, öğretmene ve ailelere etkileri, yardımcı teknoloji kullanımında karşılaşılan güçlükler ve yardımcı teknoloji kullanımına ilişkin öğretmen görüş ve önerileri şeklinde sunulmuştur. Öğretmenlerin çalışmanın gerçekleştirildiği yıl itibari ile sahip oldukları imkanlar ve önerileri göz önünde bulundurularak tartışılmıştır.
This study aims to identify the experiences and opinions of the special education teachers working in the private education school on the use of assistant technology. The study was conducted with a phenomenological pattern and a total of eight teachers, including one man and seven women, participated in the special education professional school. The data collected through the semi-configured conversation technique The data obtained from the conversations were analyzed using the NVivo 10 program using the content analysis technique. The findings are presented in the form of teachers’ opinions and recommendations on the assistance technologies and areas of use employed by teachers in the private school, the conditions of providing assistance technologies, the effects of the assistance technology use on students, teachers and families, the difficulties encountered in the assistance technology use and the assistance technology use. The teachers were discussed taking into account the possibilities and recommendations they had in the year they conducted the study.
This study aims to determine the experiences and opinions of special education teachers working in a special education school regarding the use of assistive technology. A total of eight teachers, one male and seven female, working in a special education vocational school have participated in the study. The research is based on phenomenological research design, and the data has been collected with semi-structured interview technique. The data obtained from the interviews were analyzed using the content analysis technique with NVivo 10 program. The findings have revealed information on the teachers' use of assistive technology and the areas it is used in, their access to technological tools, the benefits of using assistive technology for students, teachers and parents, the difficulties those teachers have in terms of using assistive technology, and their opinions and suggestions regarding the use of assistive technology. The findings are discussed considering the teachers' opportunities and suggestions as of the current year in which the study was conducted.
