SALGIN HASTALIK DÖNEMİNDE ALGILANAN SOSYAL DESTEĞİN BİREYLERİN PSİKOLOJİK SAĞLAMLIĞI ÜZERİNDEKİ ETKİSİNİN İNCELENMESİ

Abstract:

Bu çalışma salgın hastalık döneminde algılanan sosyal desteğin bireylerin psikolojik sağlamlığı üzerindeki etkisini belirlemek amacıyla yapılmıştır. Araştırma, nicel araştırma desenlerinden ilişkisel tarama modeli benimsenerek yürütülmüştür. Araştırmanın çalışma grubunu farklı demografik yapıya sahip 350 kişi oluşturmaktadır. Araştırmaya katılan bireyler kolay ulaşılabilir örnekleme yöntemiyle belirlenmiştir. Çalışma Dünya Sağlık Örgütünün pandemi ilan ettiği 2020 Mart ayında yürütülmüştür. Araştırmada veri toplamak amacıyla araştırmacılar tarafından katılımcıların özelliklerini belirlemek için oluşturulan Kişisel Bilgi Formu; Zimet, Dahlem, Zimet ve Farley(1988) tarafından geliştirilen Doğan ve Arkar(1995) tarafından Türkçeye uyarlaması yapılan Çok Boyutlu Algılanan Sosyal Destek Ölçeği ve Smith, Dalen, Wiggins, Tooley, Christopher ve Jennefer Bernard(2008) tarafından geliştirilip Doğan(2015) tarafından Türkçe uyarlama çalışması yapılan Kısa Psikolojik Sağlamlık Ölçeği kullanılmıştır. Çalışmanın sonuçlarına göre bireylerin algılanan sosyal destek düzeyleri ile psikolojik sağlamlık düzeyleri arasında anlamlı farklılığın olduğu tespit edilmiştir. Psikolojik sağlamlık düzeyi; cinsiyet, medeni durum ve aile yapısına göre farklılaşmamakta olup buna karşın yaş değişkenine göre farklılaştığı görülmüştür. Araştırmada elde edilen bulgular ilgili alan yazın ışığında tartışılarak öneriler sunulmuştur.

This study was conducted to determine the effect of perceived social support on the psychological well-being of individuals. The research was carried out by adopting the relative screening model, which is one of the quantitative research patterns. The study group of the research consists of 350 people with different demographic structure. The individuals participating in the research, have been identified by an easily accessible sampling method. The study was carried out in March 2020, when the World Health Organization declared it a pandemic. In order to collect data in the research, Multidimensional Perceived Social Support Scale developed by Zimet, Dahlem, Zimet and Farley (1988), adapted to Turkish by Doğan and Arkar (1995) and the Short Psychological Resilience Scale developed by Smith, Dalen, Wiggins, Tooley, Christopher and Jennifer Bernard (2008) and adapted to Turkish by Doğan (2015) forms were used to identify the characteristics of the participants. According to the results of the study, it was determined that there was a significant difference between the perceived social support levels of the individuals and their psychological resilience levels. The level of psychological resilience does not differ according to gender, marital status and family structure, however, it has been observed to differ according to age variable. The findings obtained in the research were discussed in light of the related literature and suggestions were presented.
