Abstract:

The aim of this research is to examine the postgraduate theses about intelligence games in Turkey from various perspectives. This study, in which the descriptive content analysis of the postgraduate theses in the field of mind and intelligence games was made, was designed by adopting the qualitative research method. The studies within the scope of the research were determined by criterion sampling. According to some important findings obtained as a result of the analysis, in the postgraduate theses, the most studies are done at the master's level, the quantitative and mixed methods are preferred the most, the experimental design is used the most among the research designs, the preferred data collection tool in most of the studies is the test, the primary and secondary school schools are the most preferred. Considering the distribution of the studies according to their aims, it was seen that there were mostly studies examining the mind games lesson from the point of view of teachers and students. When the results of the studies regarding the effect of the studies on the cognitive states of the students are examined, it is the most common results that the intelligence games improve the problem-solving skills and that the students enjoy the intelligence games in the results of the effects on the affective states. Suggestions developed in line with the findings obtained after the study are included.
