Abstract:

In today's world, a constantly increasing and intense competitive environment has forced businesses to use total quality management more effectively in order to meet constantly changing customer needs. To realize the quality at low cost has been the main purpose of the enterprises in order to obtain advantages against the competitors in the competitive environment. In addition, companies have been able to implement continuous improvement efforts in their management in order to adapt to changing technological conditions and global economic practices. Kaizen applications that have been used in all management activities, from increasing productivity, decreasing at costs, shortening of business processes and from production to marketing have ensured businesses find a place in the competitive market, which is becoming more and more difficult. In this paper, the effects of Kaızen philosophy and total quality management approach and practices on productivity in businesses are theoretically discussed with the support of the literature.
