Abstract:

Budget is an important issue that should be discussed between couples, as the economic decisions that people make also affect other family members. Studies show that although it is an important topic to talk about, it is among the most difficult topics to talk about, and it affects and is affected by the marital relationship. In this study, the issue of budget in marriage was examined and an online questionnaire was applied to 342 social work students in order to examine the views of social work students, who are future family counselor candidates, on the budget management of married couples. The collected data were analyzed with the chi-square test using the SPSS 20 program. The most important finding of the study is that the answers given by the participants to some questions differed significantly according to the education level of the parents. Another important finding is that social work students have a high level of awareness about the budget issue.
