Values are among the important elements collecting the individuals in society around a whole. Individual values begin to learn first from the family and then from society. The surroundings are also expanding in proportion to the age of the individual. In this case, human beings need to learn what they can learn and learn in order to provide order in the face of the complexities of life. In order to meet this need in a systematic way, much work is required for educational institutions. The teachers who lead the education community teach the students what to look for, what is good and what is bad, and guide the students through this process. Teachers who will train future generations in this case are undoubtedly primary persons in value education. The purpose of this study is to examine the opinions of preservice teachers regarding national values on pedagogical formation education. In the study, a descriptive survey model was used. The universe of the research is composed of 700 teacher candidates from the Alaaddin Keykubat University Pedagogical Formation Programme in Alanya. The sample of the research is composed of 289 preservice teachers selected by simple random method. Of preservice teachers 111 were male: 178 were female. The Attitude Scale Toward Teaching National Values (ASTNV), which is included in the national literature, was used to determine the thoughts of the candidates about national values education. The significance value in the analyzes was set to .05. As a result of the research, the opinions of teacher candidates about teaching national values; It was observed that there was a meaningful difference between the degree of education of the national values and the degree of importance of the national values, while there was no significant difference between the gender, the place where the family lived, the part of the formation education, and the academic achievement of the prospective teachers.
