Amaç: Bu çalışmada, Kalp Damar Cerrahi (KVC) kliniğinde hizmet veren hekimlerin giyim tarzı ile hastaların hekim tercihi arasındaki ilişkiyi belirlemek amaçlanmıştır. Yöntem: Çalışma kesitsel ve tanımlayıcı özellikte olup, Nisan-Ağustos tarihleri arasında, İstanbul’da bir eğitim ve araştırma hastanesinin, KVC kliniğinde tedavi gören 250 hasta ile yürütülmüştür. Veriler, hem kadın hem de erkek hekimilerin farklı giyim biçiminin resimleri gösterilerek (klasik, beyaz önlük, spor, forma), giyim tercihleri ve hasta hekim ilişkisine etkilerine ilişkin sorular içeren anket formu aracılığı ile elde edildi. Verilerin analizinde tanımlayıcı istatistikler (sıklık, yüzdelik, ortalama) yanında gruplararası karşılaştırmada ki kare testi kullanıldı. Bulgular: Katılımcılarının yaş ortalaması 55.37±14.33 olup, %55.2’si erkek hastalardan oluşmaktadır. KVC hekimleri için beyaz önlüğün en çok tercih edilen giyim tarzı olduğu belirlendi. Genç yaşta olan hastalar, yaşları daha ileri olan hastalara göre hekiminlerinin beyaz önlük giymelerini daha çok istediklerini belirtmişlerdir. Kadın hastalar erkek hastalara göre sivil giyimli hekimleri daha çok tercih ettiği belirlendi. Sonuç: Hastalar, KVC hekimlerinin öncelikli olarak beyaz önlüğü giymesini tercih ettiklerini belirttiler. Bu nedenle beyaz önlük hasta-hekim ilişkisini olumlu etkileyebilir ve hekimin iyi bir izlenim yaratmasında yardımcı olabilir.
Purpose: In this study, it is intended to determine the relationship between the clothing style of the doctors serving in the Clinic of Cardiovascular Surgery (KVC) and the doctor's preference of patients. Method: The work is in discontinuous and identifying characteristics, and between April-August dates, a training and research hospital in Istanbul, with 250 patients treated in the KVC clinic. The data was obtained through the survey form, which includes questions about the different forms of clothing (classic, white, sports, shape), clothing preferences and the effects on the patient’s relationship with the doctor. In the analysis of the data, the identificative statistics (frequency, percentage, average) were used as a square test in the group comparison. Results: The average age of participants is 55.37±14. It is 33 percent and 55.2 percent of the patients are male. For KVC doctors, the white clothes are the most preferred clothing style. Patients younger than patients older have said their doctors want to wear white clothes more than their patients older. Women’s patients prefer civic clothes compared to male patients. Result: Patients indicated that KVC doctors prefer to wear a white clothes in the first place. Therefore, the white forehead can positively affect the patient-the doctor relationship and can help the doctor create a good impression.
