Bu çalışmanın amacı 2011 yılında Suriye'de yaşanan iç savaş nedeniyle ortaya çıkan düzensiz uluslararası göçün çalışma hayatı bağlamında durumunu betimlemektir. Çalışma, Suriye kaynaklı göçten en çok etkilenen ve Suriyeli göçmenlerin en yoğun olarak yaşadığı illerden birisi olan Şanlıurfa ilinde gerçekleştirilmiştir. Araştırma, yöntem olarak durum çalışması şeklinde tasarlanmıştır. Veri elde etme tekniği olarak yarı-yapılandırılmış görüşme kullanılmıştır. Veriler, betimsel analiz yoluyla analiz edilerek yorumlanmıştır. Çalışma sonucunda Suriyeli göçmen çalışanların iş bulma ve çalışma yeri seçiminde, işletmelerinin kuruluş yeri seçiminde ve göç edilecek yer seçiminde, akrabalık bağları ile Suriyelilerin yoğun olarak yaşadıkları yerlerin belirleyici olduğu görülmüştür. Ayrıca göçmenlerin çalışma koşulları, istihdam edilme sebepleri ve çalışma hayatında yaşadıkları sorunlar ortaya konmuştur.
The aim of this study is to describe the situation of irregular international migration arising from the 2011 Syrian civil war in the context of working life. The study was carried out in the province of Shanlıurfa, one of the most affected by the migration from Syria and one of the most intense areas in which Syrian migrants live. The research is designed in the form of the situation work. A semi-constructed conversation is used as a data obtaining technique. The data is interpreted by analyzing through visual analysis. The study found that Syrian immigrant workers, in the choice of job and workplace, in the choice of their enterprises’ establishment and the choice of the place to be migrated, are determining in their relatives and where the Syrians live intensely. It has also revealed the working conditions of migrants, the reasons for their employment and the problems they experience in the work life.
The purpose of this study is to describe the case of working life affected by the international irregular migration caused by the Syrian civil war, which was started in 2011. The study was conducted in Şanlıurfa province of Turkey, which is one of the most affected cities from the Syrian migration and where Syrian immigrants mostly reside. The research is designed as a case study. The empirical material of the study was generated using semi-structured interviews, which then descriptively analyzed and interpreted. Findings revealed that kinship and already-settled Syrian migrant population is found to be determinant on job finding and workplace choice, location selection for entrepreneurs, and decisions on migration destination. Current situation of the working conditions, reasons for employment, and the problems associated with working life experienced by immigrant workers were exposed.
