This study aimed to survey the incidence of injuries in skaters due to the practice of sport, determining the locations with the highest incidence of injury. Still, to survey the methods used in order to prevent and / or reduce such injuries. The participants were 60 skaters radicals, residents in the state of Ceará, in Fortaleza, practicing Radical Skating sport as a questionnaire was applied, with eight closed questions and two open on the incidence of injuries in Radical Skating athletes well and on the use of shields, which is applied individually in the previously cited. It was found that 83.3% of respondents have suffered injuries. A high number of wrist injuries with 60% and it was noted that the technique most used by skaters, in order to prevent accidents, was the use of protective equipment (58%) and the helmet, with 59%, was the more used equipment. It concludes that the number of individuals who suffered injuries in skating is quite high, although most use of protective equipment, and the wrist, knee and ankle the most affected.
