Abstract:

In this study, it is investigated how the urban transformation perceptions of the people living in the Ballıkuyu urban transformation project area are formed by socio-demographic variables, negative life events, expectations, and interpersonal relations. By investigating how the attitudes, behaviors and perceptions of the individuals living in the slums are determined and shaped, the perceptions of the people living in the Ballıkuyu urban transformation area are tried to be understood. Ballıkuyu, which is one of the urban transformation projects that is frequently discussed and has many application examples in the urbanization and urbanization process of Turkey, has been chosen as a research area with its heterogeneous structure. As a result of the research, although the superstructural factors that determine the perceptions of the people living in the slums have an important effect, it is economical class that ultimately determines the perceptions of the individuals in the urban transformation process; In other words, it has been that there are infrastructural factors.
