This article proposes an analysis of political and affective dimensions of the artistic work of the street theater group “La Runfla”: an historical reference of this kind of theater in the city of Buenos Aires and heir of artistic tradition which used to combine art and activism. These political and affective dimensions tense and put a light on some unsolved problems in the area of artistic work while appealing to different meanings about the political role of arts. The article is framed into a larger anthropological investigation based on an immersive and collaborative fieldwork enriched by exchanges and co-theorization with the community. By promoting the use of affects as an analytic tool, it works on testimonies of actors and actress of La Runfla and shows how they use subjectivity in the experience of working in different projects of street theater, how they tell these experiences in the biographical space of these actors and actress and how these narratives contribute to the building of a precise political and ideological model of artistic work in street theater.
