Abstract:

Goal: In this study we evaluated the results and ethology of the hearing scan program applied to children in school age in our region. Methods: between January 2019 and March 2020, 6073 primary school first-class students (2915 men, 3158 women; mid. Age: 75.6±3.9 months; distribution, 66-84 months) school age hearing scan odyometry results were scaned backward from the database of the Ministry of Health National Hearing Scan Program. The data of children who were sent due to hearing scan failure or risk factors were also included in the study by scanning. FUNCTIONS: 183 of the 6073 first-class students conducted the screening odyometry (3%) were directed to the ear nose throat specialist due to failure in the test or risk factors. 74 out of 183 guided children (40%). 5) there was an embedded ear lear and 48 (26.5 percent) of the fusion of otitis media. Sixteen (33%) of the child's control odymetry tests were normal. There was no statistically significant difference in the rates of transmission between the sexes. In all children with hearing loss hearing loss was transmission type hearing loss. The result is that, although the embedded ear curl is a easily preventable cause, it affects academic performance, speech and language development when it is not treated. The preventable and treatable hearing loss is high in pre-school and school-age children and not observed in our studies, but the prevalence of sensory hearing loss acquired in these age groups indicates the importance and spread of hearing scanning programs.
