This research has been done to identify the problems they experience in the theory and practice of nursing courses. The research was carried out with 138 students taking practical professional courses at the Samsun University of O'Donness. In the study, the data was collected by application of the questionnaire and evaluated as percentage. According to the results obtained from the study, the important problems the students pointed out; the theoretical courses are compressed for a period of as a month, the professional courses are 3 days in a week, they feel strange in the field of application, the teachers do not explain their expectations regarding the maintenance plan before application, the application notes are given according to the student's interim exam score. Students want to visit the doctors and the patient. The Determination of Problems Seen in the Theoretical Lessons and Practical Applications of the Students in Nursing Department of Samsun Higher School of Health The aim of this descriptive study is to determine the most common problems seen in the ore tic al lessons and practical applications of the vocational lessons of the nursing department students. The study is carried out in Samsun Higher School of Health with 138 students taking vocational lessons and their practical applications. The data of the study were collected by questionnare and statistically evaluated as percentage. Related to the results obtained from the study, the most important problems expressed by the students are found to be as follows; the theoretical lessons are given in a short period of time such as one month, the vocational lessons are given in three consecutive days of the week, lecturers, do not explain their expectations from the care plan prior to practices, practice marks are given according to the intermediate examination marks and students want consultation at patient bedside supervised by the instructor.
