Abstract:

In the research, it was aimed to take the opinions of the science teachers within the scope of the Engineering and Design Skills (EDS) field included in the 2018 Science Curriculum, to determine the problems they encountered during their experiences and to offer solution suggestions regarding the problems. The case study design, one of the qualitative research methods, was used in the research. The research was carried out with 10 participants who actively teach the Science course. Purposive Sampling method was used in the selection of participants. A semi-structured interview form was used as the data collection tool in the research, and the data were collected through remote interviews with participants due to the Covid-19 pandemic measures. In the research, the data were presented by analyzing the content analysis and descriptive analysis. It has been observed that the opinions of Science teachers about the field of EDS, which they have been applying since 2018, have changed over the past time.
