Turizm endüstrisi sisteminde turizm rehberlerinin rolü ve sorumlulukları yadsınamayacak düzeydedir. Bundan dolayı, ülkeler turizm rehberliği mesleği ile ilgili sertifika programları, ön lisans, lisans ve yüksek lisans eğitimleri vermekte ve turizm rehberliği ile ilgili yasal düzenlemeler yapmaktadır. Literatürde turizm rehberliği ile ilgili ön lisans ve lisans ders müfredatları ile ilgili çalışmalar gerçekleştirilmişken, yüksek lisans düzeyinde herhangi bir çalışmanın olmadığı belirlenmiştir. Bundan dolayı, çalışmanın amacı turizm rehberliği tezli ve tezsiz yüksek lisans eğitimi veren üniversitelerde zorunlu ve seçmeli olarak okutulan derslerin turizm rehberi ruhsatnamesi sahibi olunması için Turizm Rehberliği Meslek Yönetmeliği’nde yer alan dersler bağlamında incelenmesidir. Araştırma nitel yöntem kullanılarak gerçekleştirilmiştir. Araştırmada öncelikle turizm rehberliği eğitimi ve müfredatlar ile ilgili literatür taraması yapılmıştır. Ardından turizm rehberliği tezli ve tezsiz yüksek lisans eğitimi veren ve müfredatlarına ulaşabilen programlar belirlenmiştir. Tezli ve tezsiz programların müfredatları Turizm Rehberliği Meslek Yönetmeliği’ndeki zorunlu dersler ile karşılaştırılmıştır. Çalışmada ayrıca tezli ve tezsiz yüksek lisans programlarındaki dersler yabancı dil, bölgesel temalı dersler ve belli uzmanlık gibi unsurlar kapsamında da incelenmiştir. Araştırma ile tezli ve tezsiz turizm rehberliği veren programların müfredatlarının Turizm Rehberliği Meslek Yönetmeliği’ndeki derslerle ve farklı üniversitelerdeki programların müfredatlarının birbiri ile uyumlaştırılması önemli görülmektedir. Çalışma bulgularının turizm rehberlik mesleği ile ilgili TUREB, Turist Rehberleri Odalarının, sertifika eğitimi sağlayan ve lisansüstü düzeyde eğitim veren kurumların vereceği kararlar ve gelecekte açılacak programlar için katkı sağlaması beklenmektedir.
The role and responsibilities of tourism guides in the tourism industry system are at a level that cannot be denied. Therefore, countries provide certificate programs related to the tourism guidance profession, pre-graduate, bachelor and master training and make legal regulations related to tourism guidance. While studies related to pre-graduate and bachelor's curriculum related to tourism guidance in literature have been carried out, there has been determined that there is no study at the master's level. Therefore, the purpose of the study is to study the courses contained in the Tourism Guide Professional Regulations in the context of the courses contained in the Tourism Guide Professional Regulations in order to obtain the Tourism Guide License for the obligatory and selectively taught courses in the universities that provide a thesis and non-thesis master's education. The research has been done using the method. The research was primarily conducted by tourism guidance training and the literary scan of the curriculum. Then tourism guidance has been defined programs that provide the thesis and thesis-free master's education and can reach their curricula. The curriculum of the thesis and thesis-free programs is compared to the mandatory courses in the Tourism Guide's Professional Regulations. In the study, the courses in the thesis and non-thesis master's programs were also studied within the framework of elements such as foreign language, regional thematic courses and certain specialties. It is important to harmonize the curricula of the programs that provide the thesis and thesis tourism guidance with the courses in the Tourism Guide Professional Regulations and the curricula of the programs in different universities with each other. The findings of the study relating to the tourism guidance profession TUREB, the Tourist Guides Rooms are expected to contribute to the decisions that will be made by the institutions that provide certificate training and graduate education and to the programs to be opened in the future.
The roles and responsibilities of tourism guides in the tourism industry are undeniable. In the literature, while studies related to associate degree and undergraduate course curricula related to tourism guidance have been carried out, it has been determined that there is no study at graduate level. Therefore, the aim of the study is to examine the courses that are taught compulsory and elective in universities that provide graduate education with and without thesis in the context of the courses in the Tourism Guidance Vocational Regulations in order to have a tourism guide working card. The research was carried out using qualitative method. In the research, firstly, literature review related to tourism guidance education and curricula were done. Then, programs curricula that provide tourism guidance graduate education with and without thesis were determined. It is important to harmonize the curricula of the graduate programs that provide tourism guidance with and without thesis and the curricula of the programs in different universities and the courses in the Tourism Guidance Vocational Regulation. The findings of the study are expected to contribute to the decisions to be given by TUREB, Tourist Guides Chambers, institutions providing certificate education and graduate education related to the tourism guiding profession and programs to be opened in the future.
