Human Leukocyte Antigen (HLA) is under the control of a gene region, which is called Major Histocompatibility Complex (MHC) Gene Region. This region consists of three main groups which are the MHC Class I (HLA-I, -B, -C, -E, -F, -G), MHC Class II (HLA-DR, -DP, -DQ, -DO, DN) and MHC Class III (C2, C4A, C4B, PF, TNF- a, b) antigens. Here is to give a brief overview of HLA and HAL typing.
