Abstract:

In this study we assessed the alterations in postural and your alignment in relation to training time in two different sports modalities: street runners (SR) and swimmers master (NM). The study included 37 runners (M= 21; F=16) and 45 swimmers (M= 19; F=26) from São Paulo, whose routine training letter at a minimum three days a week. For the evaluation of postural alterations was used biophotogrammetry procedures and protocol proposed by Portland State University (PSU), whose index postural correction (ICP) normal for adults is 65%. For statistical analysis we used the Spearman correlation. The results showed an ICP of 79.8% (± 26.2)for SR and an ICP of 86.2% (± 6.5) for the swimmers. The regions of the body with more changes to the SR were the lower limbs and the NM was the neck region. We found no significant correlation between years of practice mode and full ICP. Conclude that despite the ICP's totals were considered normal for both SR and for NM, special attention should be given to postural overload in the region of the lower limbs and neck, in particular for each modality.
