OKUL ÖNCESİ EĞİTİME DEVAM EDEN 5 YAŞ ÇOCUKLARININ UYGULANAN ETKİNLİKLERE İLİŞKİN GÖRÜŞLERİNİN BELİRLENMESİ

Abstract:

Bu araştırmanın temel amacı 5 yaş çocuklarının okul öncesi eğitim kurumlarında uygulanan etkinlikler hakkındaki düşüncelerini ve bu düşünceler üzerinden çocukların ihtiyaçlarını belirlemektir. Araştırmanın amacına uygun olarak nitel araştırma desenlerinden durum çalışması deseni kullanılmıştır. Çalışma grubu, kolay ulaşabilirlik ilkesi göz önünde bulundurularak oluşturulmuştur. Araştırmaya 2017-2018 eğitim öğretim yılı güz-bahar döneminde İstanbul ili, Kadıköy ilçesi, Göztepe semtinde okul öncesi eğitime devam eden 19’u kız, 23’ü erkek olmak üzere toplam 42 çocuk dahil edilmiştir. Veriler, araştırmacılar tarafından oluşturulan yarı yapılandırılmış görüşme formu ile toplanmıştır. Veri toplama süreci sonunda elde edilen verilerin analizinde betimsel analiz kullanılmış ve elde edilen bilgilerin sayısal değerlerle ifade edilebilmesi için frekans ve yüzde değerleri belirlenmiştir. Araştırmanın sonucunda çocukların en sevdiği etkinlikler sırasıyla sanat, oyun, matematik, hareket, fen ve drama olarak belirlenmiştir. Araştırmaya katılan çocukların tamamına yakınının en sevdikleri etkinlikler sınıfta yapılmaktadır. Çocukların az bir kısmı en sevdikleri etkinlikleri sınıf içinde yapmak isterken, yarıdan fazlası ise en sevdikleri etkinlikleri bahçede yapmak istediklerini belirtmişlerdir. Çocuklardan kendi günlerini tasarlamaları istediğinde, etkinlerde pasif-aktif dengesinin doğal olarak ortaya çıktığı ve çocukların tasarımlarında daha aktif olmalarına imkân tanıyan bir gün planladıkları belirlenmiştir.

Abstract:

The main objective of this study is to identify the thoughts of children aged 5 years of age about the activities implemented in pre-school institutions and the needs of children through these thoughts. According to the purpose of the research, the status study pattern of the quality research patterns was used. The work group was created taking into account the principle of easy accessibility. The study included a total of 42 children, including 19 girls and 23 men, who continued pre-school education in Istanbul, Kadıköy district, Göztepe district in the summer-spring academic year 2017-2018. The data was collected through a semi-configured interview form created by the researchers. In the analysis of the data obtained at the end of the data collection process, the visual analysis was used and the frequency and percentage values were determined so that the data obtained could be expressed in numerical values. The study found that the children’s favorite activities were defined as art, play, mathematics, movement, science and drama. All of the children who participate in the study close to their favourite activities are held in the classroom. Few children say they want to do their favorite activities in the classroom, while more than half say they want to do their favorite activities in the garden. When children are asked to design their own days, it is determined that they are planning a day where the passive-active balance in the events appears naturally and where children can be more active in their designs.

Determining The Opinion Of 5 Year Old Children Continuing Pre-school Education On The Applied Activities

The main purpose of this research is determine the thoughts of 5 year old children about the activities implemented in preschool education instutions and to determine the needs of children through these thoughts. The case study pattern was used from qualitative research patterns in accordance with the purpose of the research. The study group was formed the principle of easy accessibility in mind and included 42 children, 19 of whom were girls and 23 of whom were boys, who attended preschool education in Göztepe district, Kadıköy district, İstanbul province during the fall-spring semester of the 2017-2018 academic year. The data was collected through a semi-structured interview form created by the researchers. Descriptive analysis was used in the analysis of the data obtained at the end of the data collection process and frequency and percentage values were determined in order to express the data obtained with numerical values. As a result of the study, children’s favorite activities were art, play, math, movement, science, and drama respectively. Close to all of the children involved in the research have their favorite activities in the classroom. A few of the children wanted to do their favorite activities in the classroom, while more than half said they wanted to do their favorite activities in garden, outside of classroom. When children asked to design their own day, it is determined that the passive-active balance naturally arises in the activities and that they plan a day that allows them to be more active in their design.
