Abstract:

Concepts such as culture, multiculturalism and interculturality are at the center of foreign language education. Individuals learning the target language are culturally respected; Creating the impression that there is room for different ideas and opinions also positively affects language learners. The social and political actions that have developed around Turkey in recent years have triggered large population movements; It has also been instrumental in an increase in the number of Turkish learners with factors such as education, asylum and economy. It has been observed that the number of instructors and materials in the field of teaching Turkish as a foreign language has increased in parallel with this in recent years. Foreigners who want to learn Turkish travel from Asia to Africa; It ranges from Europe to South and North America. In this context, culture and cultural differences are very important in terms of teaching Turkish as a foreign language. In this study, the morpheme of Culture was analyzed as corpus-based. Corpus is a field in which written and spoken texts with the ability to represent language are analyzed by creating a database in computer environment. The course materials used in teaching Turkish as a foreign language were transferred to the computer environment; The compilation has been made ready for the software used in linguistic analysis. In this process, OCR editing and UTF-8 conversions were performed. The frequency of culture morpheme in course materials through the special corpus obtained; usage patterns, contexts, collocations are described. Based on the findings obtained, it has been determined that the concept of culture is generally used in the content related to Turkish culture in the field of teaching Turkish as a foreign language; It has been determined that different cultures and interculturalism are given relatively little space. Subsequently, various suggestions were made based on the data.
