Eğitim Temalı Türk Filmlerinde Yer Alan Değerlerin İncelenmesi

Abstract:

Günümüzde insanlar günlerinin önemli bir kısmını televizyon izleyerek ve internette vakit geçirerek harcamaktadır. Televizyonlarda ve diğer ortamlarda gösterime giren filmler ise izleyiciler üzerinde etki bırakma gücüne sahiptir. Özellikle gençler ve çocuklar izledikleri film ve dizilerdeki kahramanları kendilerine rol model almaya ve onların her halini taklit etmeye çalışmaktadır. Filmler ve diziler kısa sürede geniş kitlelere ulaşma imkânı sunması açısından da oldukça önemlidir. Dolayısıyla filmler bazı değerlerin aktarılması amacıyla kullanılabilecek etkin araçlar olarak karşımıza çıkmaktadır. Bu çalışma eğitim temalı Türk filmlerinde yer alan değerlerin incelenmesi amacıyla hazırlanmıştır. Araştırma kapsamında eğitim temalı filmlerin seçilmesindeki ana amaç bu filmlerin aktarmaya çalıştığı mesajların eğitime ve eğitim sürecine yönelik olmasıdır. Karma yöntemin kullanıldığı araştırmada örneklem grubunu eğitim temalı sekiz Türk filmi oluşturmaktadır.  Örneklemi oluşturan filmlerin seçiminde amaçlı örneklem yöntemlerinden maksimum çeşitlilik örnekleme kullanılmıştır. Verilerin toplanmasında doküman analizi yöntemi, verilerin analiz edilmesinde ise betimsel analiz kullanılmıştır. Filmlerde yer alan değerler tablolar halinde sunulmuş ve değer ifadeleri doğrudan alıntılarla örneklendirilmiştir. Araştırma sonucunda filmlerde en çok yer alan değerlerin; sevgi, yardımseverlik, saygı, dayanışma ve çalışkanlık değerleri olduğu sonucuna ulaşılmıştır. İncelenen filmlerin hepsinde çalışkanlık, dayanışma, duyarlılık, saygı, sevgi, sorumluluk ve yardımseverlik değerlerini geliştirici ögelerin yer aldığı bulgulanmıştır. Ayrıca filmlerin tamamında ana karakter olan öğretmenlerin olumlu karakter özelliklerine sahip olduğu görülmüştür. Son aşamada araştırma sonuçları alanyazında yapılan benzer çalışmaların sonuçları ile karşılaştırılmıştır.

Today, people spend a significant part of their day watching television and surfing the internet. Movies broadcast on television and in other media have the power to influence the audience. Especially youngsters and children try to take their protagonists in the movies and series they watch as role models and act like them. Movies and TV series are also very important in terms of providing the opportunity to reach a large audience in a short time. Therefore, films are effective tools that can be used to transfer some values. The purpose of this study is to examine the values in educational themed Turkish films. The main reason behinf the selection of educational themed films, was effective the messages that these films tried to convey were related to education and the educational process. The mixed method was used in the research. The sample group consists of eight educational themed Turkish films. In the selection of the films constituting the sample, maximum variation sampling was used. Document analysis method was used for data collection and descriptive analysis was used for data analysis. The values in the films are presented in tables and the value expressions are exemplified by direct quotations. As a result of the research, it has been concluded that more highlighted values in films are the values of love, helpfulness, respect, solidarity and diligence. It was found that all of the films examined included elements that improve the values of diligence, solidarity, sensibility, respect, love, responsibility and helpfulness. In addition, as a result of the research, it has been found that teachers, who are the main characters in all films, have positive character traits. In the last stage, the results of the research were compared with the results of similar studies in the literature.
