Abstract:

The Professional High Schools, which provide pre-graduate education, perform a period of their 4 semesters programmes practically. The student who practices workplace in the third or fourth semester will learn the workplace responsibilities, workers-employee relationships, work safety systems, and new technologies in a practical way. As stated in the Education Guidelines for Occupational Practice of the University of Sakarya, students will be able to do their practical practices under the supervision of professional specialists at workplaces that interest their professions, as well as to develop their professional skills as well as the opportunity for future employment.

The main objective of the Applied Courses is to give students the opportunity to learn their professional tasks and roles to effectively perform a comprehensive professional management. The objectives of the workplace and the services provided lead to the application of the student in the workplace. Sakarya University Professional High Schools, industry, health, service, tourism, food and agriculture sectors have developed the first 3+1 educational model of Turkey by adapting their programs to the current conditions in order to provide qualified labour. The main objective of the project is to organize training through 4 semesters, 3 semesters in the school as theoretical and practical training, and one semesters as fully practical training in enterprises.

Research and observation methods have been used. The study is based on the assessment of the application in terms of student, employment, responsibilities, organization, production and work safety, new technologies and the employee-employee relationship.
