In this article, the discussion of the scientific realism/realism contradiction, which is one of the popular study topics of scientific metaphysics, will be studied by defending the realistic wing. In this regard, the topics of the "existence of the external world independent of the mind" and "unobserved beings" will be discussed in the center of the study. In the context of understanding the world, the "Science" activity is not just the sum of research carried out taking into account empirical data; moreover it will be claimed to be an effort to bring meaning to the world, pursuing unknown but interesting things (such as protons, photons or viruses). Thus, in the face of the empirical firm attitude of the opponents of realism – taking into account the opinions of logical positivists – it will be demonstrated that the understanding of scientific realism is a understanding of a philosophical basis based on metaphysics.
