Abstract:

Purpose: Anisometropy-related one-sided ambliopy of the facts is assessed by the optical coherent tomography (OKT) of the retina nerve fibre layer (RSLT), macula thickness (MK) and ganglion cell complex (GHK), comparing the results with the solid eye and control group.   Tools and Methods: The study included 89 patients with anizometropic ambliopia, 89 healthy eyes of the patient group and 62 eyes of 31 healthy people. After the detailed ophthalmological examination of all the facts, the RSLT, MK and GHK values were statistically compared with the OKT device, the p<0.05 values were statistically meaningful.   Results: The average age of the participants involved in the study is 13 in the ambulatory group of patients. It was 19±6.28 years, while in the control group it was 13.5±6.5 years. With regard to MK analyses, no significant differences between the groups were found (p>0,05). The average RSLT values of the cases were not statistically significant; the superior and inferior square thickness was significantly higher compared to the control group in the ambliopic eyes (respectively; p=0.045, p=0.026). In the GHK assessment, the upper staff was significantly smaller than the patient group in the control group (p=0,026).   Result: While there is no significant difference between the ambliopic events in the MK value and the control group, the top and lower square and the top square thickness of GHK in the RSLT were statically significantly high according to the control group in the patient group.
