Kanser, hem dünyada hem de Türkiye’de ölüm sebeplerinin başında gelen, tedavi süreci uzun süren, hasta bakımının sadece hastanede değil evde de devam ettiği, hastanın olduğu kadar bakım verici olan aile üyelerinin de olumsuz etkilendiği bir hastalıktır. Hastalığı yaşayan kişinin etkilenen yaşamı kadar bakım vermekle yükümlü kişi ve kişilerin de yaşamları fiziksel, duygusal, sosyal ve ekonomik yönden etkilenmektedir. Bakım veren aile üyeleri hem kendi gereksinimleri ve istekleri ile hem de bakım rolünün sorumlulukları arasında denge kurmaya çalışmaktadırlar. Bunu yapmaya çalışırlarken de yaşam kaliteleri bu süreçten olumsuz olarak etkilenebilmektedir. Bu derlemede kanser hastasına bakım veren aile üyelerinin yaşam kalitelerinin bakım verme sürecinden nasıl etkilendiği açıklanmaya çalışılmış ve bakım verenlere yönelik müdahaleler sunulmuştur.
Cancer is a disease in which the causes of death come in both the world and in Turkey, the treatment process lasts a long time, the patient’s care continues not only at the hospital but also at home, the family members who are as careful as the patient are also affected negatively. The person and persons responsible for providing care as much as the affected life of the person who is affected by the disease are also affected by their lives in a physical, emotional, social and economic manner. Care family members try to balance both their needs and desires and responsibilities of the care role. While trying to do this, the quality of life can be negatively affected by this process. In this collection, it has been tried to explain how the quality of life of family members who care for cancer is affected by the process of care and interventions to care providers have been presented.
