The aim of the study was to observe what the 1st grade elementary teachers who were using this method for first reading writing, opinions were for computer supported first reading writing instruction. The research was formed in 2006-2007 education year with twelve primary teachers who had a duty on primary schools in varied cities (Istanbul, Karabuk, Zonguldak, Kahramanmaras, Gumushane, Osmaniye, Konya, Gaziantep) of Turkey. Datas were collected with interview form which was consisted of 18 semi structured questions and were analyzed with content analysis. According to findings, teachers have believes that projector is a need for first reading writing activities. In this activities they benefited from computer for preparing and getting worksheets, presentations and videos; watching cartoon, film and first reading writing animations; listening songs. In addition they prefered word, Excel, flash, pwp and wmp programs. They thought that softwares for this field are deficient. They told that they use computer in every process of the first reading writing activities and the process that they most benefit from computer was sensation of sound. Teacher stated the benefits, limitations and proposals for the use of computer in first reading writing.
