Evlenme halkın değerlerini, inançlarını, heyecanlarını, sevinçlerini yansıtan ve pek çok ritüeli barındıran insan hayatının ve toplumsal yaşamın en önemli geçiş dönemlerinden biridir. Toplumsal bir varlık olan insanlar evlenerek toplumun uygun gördüğü şekilde aile kurarlar. Aile ise toplumun özüdür. Böylece evlenen çiftler neslin devamını sağlayarak toplumu yaşatır ve kültürünün devamına vesile olur. Bu çalışmada, Servi bölgesinde görülen evlenme âdetlerine değinilmiştir. Bölgede evlenme ile ilgili örf ve âdetler düğün öncesinde, düğün esnası ve sonrasında yapılan etkinlikler ve inanışlar detaylı anlatılmıştır. Bu âdetler toplumun kültürel değerlerini yansıtmak bakımından oldukça önemli yere sahiptir. Çalışmada günümüz âdetlerinden ziyade eski âdetler üzerinde durulmuştur. Böylelikle unutulmuş veya unutulmaya yüz tutmuş âdetleri kayıt altına alarak bölge halkının kültürel değerlerini yaşatmak amaçlanmıştır. Evlenme törenleri bölgenin giyim kuşamı, halk oyunları, yemek kültürü, eğlenme alışkanlıkları, inançları gibi halkın kimliğini gösteren önemli folklorik değerlerini barındırmaktadır. Bu da bölgeyi ve bölge insanını tanımak için büyük önem teşkil etmektedir. Çalışmada kendi gözlem ve araştırmalarımızla birlikte, yazılı ve sözlü kaynaklardan istifade edilmiştir. Çalışma neticesinde bazı evlenme âdetlerinin terk edildiği, özellikle halk inanışlarını yansıtan pek çok ritüelin günümüzde yerine getirilmediği, düğünlerin eskisi kadar samimi kutlanmadığı, popüler kültürün ve farklı bölgelerle olan kültürel alışverişin evlenme âdetlerine de yansıdığı tespit edilmiştir. Buna karşın bölgede düğünlere katılımın hâlâ çok yüksek olduğu, düğünlerin halk oyunları ve halk türküleri eşliğinde büyük coşku ile yapıldığı görülmektedir.

People who are a social being marry and build families in the way that society considers appropriate. The family is the essence of society. Thus, married couples ensure the continuation of the generation and the continuation of their culture. In this study, it was pointed to the marriage attitudes seen in the Serbi area. In the area of marriage, the events and beliefs made before the wedding, during the wedding and after the wedding are detailed. These attributes have a very important place in reflecting the cultural values of society. It is the day of the ancient work, and it is the day of the ancient. This means that forgotten or forgotten records are intended to live the cultural values of the people of the region. Wedding ceremonies contain important folklore values that show the identity of the people in the region, such as clothes, popular games, food culture, entertainment habits, beliefs. It is important to recognize the region and the people of the region. The study, along with our own observations and research, has been used from written and verbal sources. The study found that some marriage rituals were abandoned, especially many rituals that reflect public beliefs were not fulfilled today, that weddings were not celebrated as intimately as before, that popular culture and cultural exchange with different regions were also reflected in the marriage rituals. Nevertheless, the participation in the weddings in the region is still very high, and the weddings are held with great enthusiasm accompanied by popular games and people's turks.
