Babür, 1483-1530 yılları arasında yaşamış, Timurlular hanedanına mensup olup şehzadelik ve sonraları kendi adıyla anılacak bir devletin padişahlığını yapmış önemli bir tarihi kişiliktir. Hatıralarını kaleme aldığı eseri Babürnâme veya Vekayi ise böyle kurucu gücü olan bir devlet adamının kaleminden çıkması ve samimi bir dille yazılması sebebiyle hayli ilgi çekmiştir. Babürnâme belli bir dönemde belli bir coğrafyada hüküm sürmüş ve pek çok olayın merkezinde yer almış bir devlet adamı tarafından yazılması ve zengin bir içeriğe sahip olması bakımından pek çok disiplin için dikkat çekici bir eser; önemli bir kaynak olarak görülmüştür. Babürnâme’nin kıymeti haiz özelliklerinden biri de şiir ve şair üzerine pek çok örnek, metin ve değerlendirme içermesidir. Bu çalışmada Babürnâme’de geçen şiire ve şaire dair hususlar üzerinde durulmuştur. Babür’ü yazılı kültür içinde önemli kılan sebepler ve onun yetişmesinde etkili olan hususlara temas edilmiştir. Bir şair ve yazar olarak şiirin teknik ve sanatsal yönlerine dair değerlendirmeleri, şairlere bakış açısı ve onları tanıtma tarzı ortaya konmaya çalışılmıştır. Babürname’de öne çıkan farklı hususlardan biri de Babür’ün hayat hikâyesinin şairliğinin tarihi seyrine paralel olarak aktarılmasıdır. Bir devlet adamı şiire nasıl başladığını, onu şiir yazmaya iten sebeplerin neler olduğunu ve hangi şairlerden etkilenip kimlerle şiir üzerinden iletişim kurduğunu anlatmıştır. Böylece bir şairin hayatına etki eden unsurların şiirini nasıl biçimlendirdiği, şairliğinin niteliğinin nasıl bir gelişim seyri takip ettiği anlaşılmaktadır. Çalışmada Babür’ün şiire ve şairliğe dair ilgi, aktarım ve değerlendirmeleri Babürnâme merkezli olarak ele alınmıştır.
Babur, who lived between 1483-1530 years, belonged to the Timurles dynasty and became the kingdom of a state that was later named by his own name. The work that he received in his memories was Babürnâme or Vekayi, and he was very interested in the fact that a state man with such a founding power came out of the pen and was written in a sincere language. Baburnâme has ruled in a certain geography in a certain period and has been seen as an important source for many disciplines in terms of being written by a state man who was at the center of many events and having a rich content. One of the characteristics of Baburnâme is that it contains many examples, texts and evaluations on poetry and poetry. In this work, it was focused on the poems and poems in Baburnâme. The reasons that made Babur important in the written culture and the aspects that influenced his growth have been contacted. As a poet and writer, he tried to reveal his evaluations of the technical and artistic aspects of the poem, his point of view to the poets and his way of introducing them. One of the different aspects that appear in Baburname is the translation of Babur's life story in parallel with the historical course of poetry. A state man told him how he started the poem, what were the reasons why he was pushing him to write a poem, and what poets he was influenced and who he communicated with through the poem. So it is understood how the elements that influence a poet's life form the poetry, how the character of poetry follows a development path. In the study, Babur's interest in poetry and poetry, translation and evaluation were focused on Baburnâme.
