Objective: To explore the relationship between stress and quality life of women working in the washing tape of magnesite mine and home women. Methods: This cross-sectional study was conducted in Eskisehir on total of 288 women that working women in the washing tape of magnesite mine (n=144, group 1) and home women who took municipal courses at two townhouses (n=144, group 2) completed structured questionnaire form with personeal features and work status, World Health Organization Short Form of Life- Turkish Version (WHOQOL-BREF-TR) and Depression-Anxiety-Stress scale (DASS-21). Results: There was a statistically significant difference between physical, psychological, social and environmental dimensions that are sub-dimensions of WHOQOL-BREF-TR between groups and depression, anxiety and stress which are sub-dimensions of DAS-21 Short Form of groups. There was a correlation between physical, psychological, social and environmental sub-dimensions of WHOQOL-BREF-TR and a stress sub-dimensions score of DAS-21 Short Form of group 1 and 2. Conclusion: While the quality of life of the women working in the washing band of magnesite mine was determined lower than the housewives, the stress status was higher.
