Abstract:

Hasip Ahmet Aytuna was born in 1895, in Akcami neighborhood of Vidin district, Bulgaria. He completed his primary education in Vidin. He got the right go to Bursa boarding high school in 1910 and completed his 5 years education. Then, he completed his pedagogy education in Sofia University, Department of Pedagogy between 1922 and 1926. Because of the pressures, he came back to his homeland, Turkey in 1931. He carried out various duties of teaching and administration in Turkey and wrote many books and articles, most of which were about education. In this research, life and works of Hasip Ahmet Aytuna and his contributions to Turkish education are analyzed. In his works, especially the topics of education process, child education, present situation of school and its situation in future, woman education, the problem of stammering and his thoughts on cooperative attract attention
