Abstract:

Design as a field can be seen as one of the main elements of digitalization. When the concept of design is considered as a form of communication, it is as if there is no space that a person does not contact in his daily life. In this study, the concept of design was attempted to study the transformation of the points in which the human life was contacted in the historical process. This transformation has again been addressed in the processes of industrial revolutions in terms of economic history, and has been attempted to analyze the transformation of design in the conceptual, theoretical and practical fields. In our knowledge age, it may appear that technological advances have a great impact on the development and transformation of visual culture,. The speed of circulation and depth of influence of information in the virtual world also transforms intercultural interaction. In particular, it can be considered that the reduction of visualization to the individual in every field, the concept of digitalization also makes it possible to come to a position that predicts the individuality. Now the service or information presentation is designed specifically for the person and the individuality is placed in the front. This situation can be seen as the main component of the Industry 4.0 industrial revolution. Art, Culture, Economy, Communication Models and Lifestyle are now more organized in an individual-focused way, and digitalization has become a fully human-focused concept. The main topic of this research is how the design concept will take a position in the rapid change of the digitalization process, from which points it will contact human life in the Industry 4.0 process. This subject was investigated in the historical process by studying the industrial revolutions, and the concept of design as a branch of art was attempted to address the relationship with the human in the processes of these industrial revolutions. The adaptation of design as an art branch to the industry has been tried to explain with various examples and analyses how the phenomenon of "individual design" will have an impact on human life along with technology.
