Abstract:

Teachers who are expected to have a positive impact on their students' development are expected to have a number of skills. The purpose of this research is to identify the views of class teachers, who are special-talent primary school students in the educational institutions, on the qualifications they need to have to support these students in the classroom environments. Studies on special talented students in our country are often done through the Science and Art Centers (BILSEM) that these students are recognized and continued to do. However, special skilled students also need to be supported in their classroom environments in the day-to-day educational institution. 2nd, 3rd and 4th School of Education. After the recognition process that continued to their classes and was also done, the study was done with the focus on the features expected to have the class teachers of students who continued to the Science and Arts Center. In line with this goal, the research work group is made up of class teachers who work in the centre of the province of Çanakkale in the 2017-2018 academic year and are special skilled students in different fields in their classroom. The sampling of the study consists of 28 class teachers identified through the purpose sampling. The research has been used by the scientific model of quality research. The data of the research was collected using a semi-configured and non-directing interview technique. The analysis of the research data was carried out by two data coders. In the analysis of the data, Cohen Kappa’s compatibility values were used. The research data has been modeled using the NVivo 8 data analysis program. The research has shown the importance of providing the professional and personal qualifications that classmates should have. In light of the findings of research, the development of the application-focused in-service training programmes for classmates, the workshops in which teachers will cooperate, the implementation of the practical example event-based teaching training was presented as a proposal.
