Abstract:

The objective of this research is to explore the attitudes, behaviors, environmental information and the impact of the Greenpack (Greenpack) project on the environmental awareness. Some independent factors that may affect the environmental awareness of candidates have also been studied. This study was conducted with a total of 60 science knowledge teaching third-class students, including 30 teachers candidates in the control group, 30 teachers candidates in the experiment group. In the study, the semi-experimental method was used in the pre-test-final test experiment and control group design. In the study, the data was collected through the "Pre-Information Form" and the "Environmental Awareness Measurement" (CBI) used as a measurement tool. At the beginning of the study, the measurement tools were applied to both the experiment and the control group. The program, which was then prepared according to the activities and practices of the "green box project" experimental group, was implemented for a period of time, while the course was processed by the traditional method in the control group. After the intervention, the CBD was reapplicated to both groups and the last test points were recorded. The findings show that the environmental training given throughout the period resulted in an increase in the positive attitudes of candidates in both the control and the experiment group towards the environment, but this increase has not been significant. This result is considered to be very important in terms of providing positive and sustainable behavior towards the environment.
