In the globalizing world, every country is faced with threats to national security such as terrorism, extremism and separatism. In this context, while many countries have gathered under the umbrella of international organizations, some have struggled to eliminate the said threats within the framework of multilateral cooperation. Naturally, the Turkic republics also take their share of this situation. In this context, the aim of this article is to investigate the potential of the Organization of Turkic States in ensuring the security of the Turkic world. In order to achieve the aim of the article, the elements that threaten the security of the Turkic world and the importance of the Organization of Turkic States in terms of ensuring this security are discussed. In this context, firstly, the place of the Turkic world in the international system and the factors affecting it were tried to be determined. The source of the article is the previously published articles and works of local and foreign researchers, data of official institutions, official agreements and contract texts. The article was written using all the data and sources collected by the qualitative research method. As a result of the research, in order to ensure the security of the Turkic world, some important documents including the "Turkic World 2040 vision" document were accepted by the Organization of Turkic States, and "we", which constitute the cornerstones of security by organizations such as TÜRKPA, TÜRKSOY, and the Turkic Academy within the organization. It has been determined that a number of studies have been carried out and planned to strengthen awareness.
