Abstract:

It is noted that today, in order to continue the existence of terrorism that has a conceptual problem, we have developed a series of methods that are unique to the century we live. Especially when we are considered to live in the information technology age, we see Islamic-referenced radical terrorist organizations, along with the advanced technology, bring their fields of activity to virtual environments. In this context, it is necessary to pay attention to how ISIS uses the digital world in terms of creating a Turkish-centric propaganda. For the main argument that provides human resources to terrorist organizations is propaganda. The online world, which has become part of our everyday life, has a while later become a field of activity for terrorist organizations. In this context, the organization forms the seven-number digital Constantinople magazine, which publishes the propaganda of Turkey on the internet and designs its content according to modern cultural codes. When we study the concepts such as jihad, hicret, martyrdom, which are the basic Islamic concepts that the organization referred to in the magazine content, it is not wrong to say that a terrorist organization has been systematized with the reflections of its predecessor ideology. It is important for a more secure Turkey to identify the modern effective methods of fighting terrorism in the framework of the problem-oriented solution, correctly analyzed the ISIS problem.
