In this study, the extracts obtained from the leaves of the zahter plant (Thymbra spicata L.) could cause multiple harm to human health, Escherichia coli O157:H7, Salmonella enterica subsp. Antibacterial effects on enterica serovar Typhimurium and Campylobacter jejuni bacteria have been studied. For this purpose, the disk diffusion method has been used. Each of the sterile discs is absorbed by 10 μL of 3 different (10 -1, 10 -2 and 10 -3) dilusions of T. spicata extract made of homogenates, and these discs are planted in their nutrients in the petri containers, E. coli O157:H7, Salmonella enterica subsp. Reproductive behaviors have been observed by leaving enterica serovar Typhimurium and C. jejuni bacteria in the areas where they grow. According to the results of the study, measurements observed that E. coli O157:H7 formed zones of 21.3±1.7 and 17.7±1.3 mm, respectively, around the 10 -1 and 10 -2 T. spicata extract. In the same way, S. enterica subsp. Enterica serovar Typhimurium also formed zones of 26,3±1,7 and 20,7±1,3 mm around the 10 -1 and 10 -2 T. spicata extract divisions, respectively. E. coli O157:H7 and Salmonella enterica subsp. Enterica serovar Typhimurium formed narrow inhibition zones in a 10 -3 division (respectively 8.3±2.1 and 10.0±0.8). C. jejuni species has been observed to form zones below 17 mm in all three different divisions.
