Evlilik Felsefe Yapmaya Engel midir?
2021

Abstract:

Is marriage a way to make a philosophy?
2021
Author:
Abstract:

Does marriage prevent the philosophy? Such a question may seem strange at first glance and can even be claimed that the problem is not a philosophical question. Nevertheless, this "strange" question is asked personally to the Stoac Musonius Rufus, and the philosopher, while trying to answer this question, both refer to the married philosophers he took the example and is based on many evidence that marriage is a philosophical life. When it comes to the Roman era and especially the late period of Stoacity, many similar issues appear to be discussed. Many urgent questions about the day are answered with philosophical foundations, and this approach enables us to understand the attitude of Rome and the Roman Stoacism towards philosophy. Through this retorical question, this study discusses the views of Musonius Rufus and Hierocles on marriage and discusses how a daily issue can be proposed as a philosophical way of life.
