The performance of kicking in futsal is the best parameter to evaluate the chance to score a goal. The objective of this study was to evaluate the speed of the ball in the kick of female futsal athletes. Athletes of subcategories 11, 13, 15 and 17 were evaluated. The velocity parameters were measured in relation to the dominant and non-dominant legs. The study included 39 athletes linked to the Rio Grande do Sul Sports Association), from the city of Tapejara-RS, divided into their respective categories, selected by the degree of participation in weekly activities. Each participant made three shots of the 10 m shot. The data were collected by means of a velocity radar of the brand MUNI QUIP, model QUIP / KGP. The fastest kick was recorded. It found a greater development of the speed of the category sub 11 for the sub 13, presenting a development as it advances the age. The left side developed only in the passage from sub 11 category to sub 13, remaining stable in the other categories. It was concluded that there is a difference in ball speed between the categories and between the right and left segments.
