In this study a group counseling program was developed (Group Counseling Program for Cope with Inferiority Feelings-IFP) based on Adlerian approach for university students to gain skills to cope with inferiority feelings. The effect of the program on inferiority feelings and psychological symptoms levels tested in the light of two hypotheses. In the study a 3x3 experimental design with experiment, placebo, control group and pretest, posttest, follow up measurements was used. Thirty-six volunteer university students; 22 women and 14 men have attended study. Inferiority Feeling Scale and Brief Symptom Inventory have been utilized as measurement tools. When testing hypothesis, to test the significance of the difference of pretest, posttest and follow up measurements (within group) Friedman Test for Related Samples, to test the significance of the difference of the pretest, posttest and follow up scores of the three groups (between groups) The Kruskal-Wallis H Test for Independent Samples are used. The findings show that IFP is efficient on lowering the inferiority feelings and psychological symptoms levels of university students significantly when compared to placebo and control groups
