Abstract:

In this study, it is aimed to introduce the book “Kenzur Rumuz fit Tasavvuf” by Sheikh Refahi who lived in Kayseri during the Ottoman period and to reveal the mystical views of Sheikh Refahi within the framework of this work. This work is a manuscript written in verse in masnavi style, and the only known copy is in the Leipzig University Library. According to records on this copy, it is understood that it belongs to Sheikh Refahi. This work of his is a translation of the work titled “Kenzur rumuz”, written in Persian, belongs to Hüseyni Sadat el-Guri and deals with mystical subjects. However, when the work is examined, it is seen that it is not a direct translation; some additions and eliminations were made by Refahi, and it was presented expertly as a verse work, especially in terms of rhyme and phonetics. We believe that it is substantial to publicise this verse work as there is only one manuscript copy today and there has not been an extended academic study on it before. By this way, there will be more content-rich studies in tasawwuf field.
