Abstract:

Purpose: This article aims to present an example of the community mental health nursing practice carried out with student nurses. Tools and Methods: Community Mental Health Nursing Application is a total of 10 weeks practice in which students rotate with the field of clinical psychiatric nursing. In this context, regular home visits were conducted and the records of 95 families created by students were examined, the number of families - individuals to which students reached, nursing diagnoses, interviews and educational issues were discussed. The findings: Students have determined the diagnoses of nursing in the field of cognitive and cognitive fields (58), dealing with stress tolerance (37), role relationships (22). They have conducted conversations and health training on topics such as healing skills, communication skills, existing diseases and protection, developmental characteristics and parental attitudes and positive health behavior development and disease prevention. Results: Students have identified a diagnosis of nursing in the fields of multi-cognitive perceptive and dealing with stress tolerance. They discussed their ability to deal with more as the subject of the interview, and as the subject of education, the issues of disease and protection that exist in the family.
