Abstract:

Die Weltbühne magazine published theatrical writings before First World War, post-war articles with political content have started to be written. The journal attracted attention with the Nazis' policy of dissenting against national socialism in the process of power. This paper deals with the intellectual struggle of Die Weltbühne magazine against Nazism and their ideas. Within the research, it is analyzed the attitude against Nazism, armement and war following examining the political/intellectual atmosphere of the period. Furthermore, the writings that have been written against the efforts to distort some philosophical thoughts on Nazism are presented through different examples and analyzes. In the final analysis, it is tried to reach an evaluation in the context of humanity and an inference in philosophical sense.
