Abstract:

Tourism guidance is an area where the cultural ambassador of those who provide intercultural transfer and carry out the profession is expressed. The arrival of tourist movements towards destinations to about 1.5 billion participants has increased the need for tourist guides. The emerging need for a professional tourist guide is met in Turkey with the help of courses, pre-graduate, undergraduate and postgraduate programs. In this context, my research, tourism guidance sub-graduate theses have been carried out with the aim of studying the past and current situation. The Higher Education Institution Thesis Center (YÖKTEZ) has carried out a bibliometric analysis of the graduate theses on topics related to tourism guidance in the database. The study has achieved 87 undergraduate theses made between 1989-2019 based on the scan model. The data obtained within the framework of the research has been subjected to interpretation and evaluation processes in light of various parameters.
